The Worldwide Church of God is a Christian denomination with about: In our area we have 46 congregations with around 1,500 members. Our geographical spread is: We are members of the Evangelical Alliance Our roots go back to the broadcast work begun by Herbert W. Armstrong. For many years, we sponsored The World Tomorrow TV and radio programs, and distributed the PT magazine across the country. Over the years, congregations were formed from those who responded to that media effort. Our congregations have members who in some cases drive significant distances to attend services. Though we are not large in numbers, because of the way the church grew through broadcasting, our membership is scattered widely throughout all the UK and Ireland As a fellowship we have a very high regard for scripture. That respect for God's Word has led us to change our teaching when clear scriptural evidence is presented. That has not been easy to do. But looking to Christ in faith and following his will as revealed in scripture, has lead us to see more clearly than ever the glorious truth of the gospel. Through Christ, God has extended the opportunity to have a relationship with him. We could never earn the right to that relationship. God is holy, pure and perfect in character. We could never qualify to be his sons and daughters because we are flawed and tainted by sin. Christ took our sin upon himself, and gave us a new identity as God's children. We as Christians, are to then live a life that will bring glory to God to whom we owe all things As a Christian church, our journey has led us to a clear focus on the core issues of the gospel. We invite you to visit one of our congregations. Share with us in the marvellous purpose God has for you and me. Our pastors are trained and qualified to help you. They are more than happy to answer questions about the Christian faith, and give you sensible, scriptural guidance The members of our church come from all backgrounds. They commonly reflect a strong sense of commitment to following Christ's lead in their lives. I know you will appreciate the sincere faith evident in them, as they have yielded themselves to God, and allowed him to express his nature through them. None of us perfectly reflect the divine nature, but as we spiritually mature, more of Christ does shine forth Our age is full of that which offers to fill us up inside, but in the end leaves us empty.
