Barkingside New Hope Fellowship’s 5th Anniversary
7 February 2010 by Hilary Reeve

Barkingside New Hope Fellowship (BNHF), a Worldwide Church of God congregation, celebrated its fifth anniversary on February 7th. The guest preacher for the occasion was David Silcox and was followed by a celebratory cake that was shared by all present.

The BNHF holds a service every Sunday morning in an ecumenical Christian drop-in centre and bookshop called The Manna House. The other churches in the area appreciate there being a service held there every week. The Fellowship has found that they have a ministry to people whose lives have reached a low ebb and need some prayer and encouragement.

The BNHF has also been playing its part in the North Ilford Fellowship of Churches (NIFOC). Chris Reeve (pastor) has been asked on several occasions to hold services or preach in some of the local churches, and on January 24th was invited to preach the sermon at a united service at which all twelve NIFOC churches were represented. Hilary Reeve also provided some of the prayers on that occasion.

The members of the Fellowship look forward to continuing to serve the Barkingside community and to do their part in promoting cooperation among all the churches in the area.
