Fundraising Event On Saturday 9th June 2007 Worldwide Church of God joined with the Methodist Church for a fund raising buffet lunch, which was prepared by Ken Cameron, the Methodist social secretary. Our ladies worked in the kitchen. There were several fund raising stalls; Margaret’s Cards and Margaret’s Marmalade for The Mission House. A cushion raffle for The Mission House. A tombola stall by Julie Robas for Farley Hill Football Club. The Methodist bric-a-brac stall of collectors items. Profits from the lunch were divided and £37.50 was made for WCG Social Funds. This is the second event of its kind, as WCG, the Methodists and St. John’s Anglican church work together for the community. Other shared events are; The monthly community lunch. A new monthly tea dance. ‘Open the book’, bible stories for local schools. Bethune, a service for a local elderly people’s home. Farley Hill Prayer Group.
