 The Aberdeen Church held its first church service on 28 August 1976, in the Marcliffe Hotel. It followed a series of lectures held in the Station Hotel.
They later moved to the Aberdeen Grammar School which has been its home for the past 30 years. An occasional service has also been held at various locations such as The Cowdray Club, The Centre for the Deaf and Queens Cross Church Hall. Our first area pastor was Mark Ellis, followed by John Meakin, Colin Wilkins, George Delap, Russ Couston, and Hamish Dougal. Original members that are still attending include, Charles Adams, Jetton Anderson, Jim and Jennifer Brown, Gordon and Myra Glennie, Ann Harmer and Margaret Smith. Bill Duncan |
