
Life Club 11 February 2012 by Geoff Sole A Life Club was held by the Great Baddow congregation on the 11 February. The Chairperson was Len Maylin. Tabletopics were introduced by Daisy Cornish and Cherie Fox. One of the questions was about which Bible questions do we ponder? The speeches were introduced by Paul Edalere. 
The first speech was given by Jason Cornish who described his training to become an actuary. The second speech was given by Marcus Fox who talked about learning Mandarin Chinese. 
This was followed by the third speaker, Rebecca Woolford, who talked about fashion. 
The last speaker was Georgina Plumley who spoke with her Dad, David Plumley, about her Extended Project Qualification which was the recording, editing and promotion of a song entitled ‘A Thousand Years’. 
The best speaker cup was awarded to Georgina Plumley and the best contribution cup was awarded to Steve Robson. At the end of the meeting the Director, Martin Brown, advised we should always be resourceful when speaking because of things not always going to plan, such as technical difficulties with projectors etc. He said it had been a ‘most enjoyable Life Club’. |
